Our mission is to partner with the District of Columbia Office Of State Superintendent to support young children, their families, childcare providers, early childhood professionals and the community. We do this by providing services and specialized technical assistance for inclusive practices to promote physical and behavioral health, lasting positive social emotional development and good health for school readiness.

We achieve this mission by:

1. Assisting families in identifying childcare choices, indicators of quality, financial options and best practices in early childhood education.
2. Strengthening the childcare delivery system by providing comprehensive professional development for childcare.

Our vision is for all District of Columbia families, childcare providers, early childhood professionals and the community to have access to high quality early childhood education and childcare services and training necessary to develop children who are physically healthy and emotionally ready to succeed In school and develop lifelong learning skills.
